The Misericordia University men's basketball team fell to Randolph-Macon, 67-56, in the opening round of the Doc Green Tournament, Friday evening at Juniata.
Jason Kenny led the Cougars with 19 points while
Tre Fields added 14 points, six rebounds, three assists and three steals.
Tony Harding and
Noah Rivera added a team-high seven rebounds.
The Cougars fell behind 7-0 to start the game and never led.
After Randolph-Macon built an 18-8 lead, back-to-back layups by Fields got the Cougars with six, 18-12, midway through the first half.
A three-point play by
Stone McCreary pulled the Cougars with 20-15 with 8:51 to play, the MU never got closer.
MU, 4-4, will play St. Joseph's (VT) in the consolation game, Saturday at 2:00.
