Carroll made three consecutive three-pointers during a 14-0 run to close out the first quarter with a 22-9 lead. SUNY-Canton cut the Cougars lead to eight halfway through the second quarter, but layups from Paige Wampole and Carroll to close out the half gave the Cougars a 37-22 lead.

Carmody opened the second half by converting a tough right-handed hook shot in the post.
