The Misericordia University women's lacrosse team extended its win streak to six straight games with a 14-8 victory at Manhattanville, Saturday afternoon.
Olivia Garcia had four goals and an assist and
Liz Mulvey added three goals and two assists.Â
Kaila Quinlivan added three goals and an assist and
Lexee Willey scored twice.
Katie McLoughlin made 17 saves and Bri Ladner had six ground balls, three caused turnovers and three draw controls as the Cougars improved to 7-2 overall and 2-0 in the MAC Freedom.
Mulvey,
Kate Raab, Willey and Garcia all scored goals as the Cougars grabbed a 4-0 lead just over 10 minutes into the game.
After two quick strikes but the Valiants, Mulvey answered with a pair of goals in less than a minute. Willey and Garcia both added goals as the Cougars took an 8-2 lead with 12:37 left in the first half.
Manhattanville scored three of the next four goals, but Quinlivan scored with eight seconds remaining to give MU a 10-5 halftime lead.
The Valiants scored the first goal of the second half, but the Cougars scored four straight in a nine-minute span to clinch the win.
MU will host Wilkes, Tuesday.
