The Misericordia University women's volleyball team swept Clarks Summit University, 3-0 (25-15, 25-20, 25-15), Tuesday night in the Anderson Center.
Tara Welliver led the Cougars with nine kills and two blocks while
Sarah Pool had six kills and
Paige Shaughnessy had five kills and three aces.
Karley May had 16 assists and
Kaitlin Wheeler had a team-high five digs.
The Cougars used an ace from
Jassmine Watson and a kill by Welliver along with a few attack errors by the Defenders to pull away in the first set.
Welliver and Sehested had kills as part of five straight points to close out the second set.
Shaughnessy had four straight kills to give the Cougars an 18-8 lead in the third set.
The Cougars are 6-2 and open their MAC Freedom schedule when they host Delaware Valley, Wednesday.
