The Misericordia University women's volleyball team split a tri-match with Penn Schuylkill and Notre Dame (MD), Saturday in Baltimore.
The Cougars swept Penn State, 3-0 (25-9, 25-14, 25-10), before dropping a tough 3-1 (18-25, 25-22, 14-25, 24-26) match to Notre Dame.
Mikayla Gunkle led the Cougars with six kills in the first match while
Tara Welliver added five kills and six aces.Â
Sarah Pool had five kills and four players added four kills each.
Ariana Gagliardi had 25 assists.
Pool had 10 kills against Notre Dame while
Coleby Charlier and
Michelle Sehested both added nine. Welliver had seven kills and three blocks. Gagliardi had 22 assists and
Karley May had 16.
The Cougars will make their home debut when they host Immaculata, Tuesday.
