MU Men Drop Heartbreaker in MAC Freedom Opener

The Misericordia University men's soccer team opened its MAC Freedom schedule with a heartbreaking 1-0 loss in double-overtime, Saturday night at King's.

The Monarchs scored the lone goal of the game on a penalty kick with 2:01 remaining in the second extra session.

Patrick Hoffman made five saves in goal for the Cougars.

The Cougars were limited to just two shots – one each by Niko Amity and Michael Ciardullo.

Misericordia will host Dickinson, Tuesday at 7:00.
