Jason Kenny scored a game-high 30 points and 11 rebounds as the Misericordia University men's basketball team remained unbeaten in the MAC Freedom with an 84-75 win Saturday afternoon at Delaware Valley.
Kenny was 17 of 18 from the foul line and moved into seventh place on Misericordia's all-time scoring list with 1280 points.
Tre Fields,
Tyerell Mann and
Noah Rivera all added 12 points for the Cougars.
The Aggies broke an 18-18 tie midway through the first half and led until 4:41 to play in the second half.
Noah Rivera's layup got the Cougars with 70-68 with 5:16 to go. After a Del Val free throw, Misericordia answered with eight straight points to in front for good.
Kenny's layup got the Cougars within a point and
Stone McCreary hit a three-pointer to give MU a 73-71 lead with 4:17 to play.
Kenny converted a three-point play to cap the run for a 76-71 lead.
Kenny added eight free throws over the final two minutes as the Cougars closed the game on an 8-3 run.
Misericordia, 9-6 (4-0 MAC Freedom), will host King's, Wednesday at 6:00.
