The Misericordia University women's volleyball team swept Valley Forge University, 3-0 (25-11, 25-14, 25-13), Thursday.

Tara Welliver had a team-high 14 kills and Jessica Oltman added 11 kills and three blocks.

Mikayla Gunkle had seven aces and 15 digs and Karley May had 31 assists and five aces.

May had three aces as the Cougars opened the first set with an 11-1 run.

Two kills by Welliver broke and 8-8 tie in the second set and the Cougars used a 9-0 run to take control of the set.

In the finale, the Cougars scored 16 straight points to break a 6-6 tie.

MU improved to 16-9 and will host a tri-match, Saturday.
