The Misericordia men's lacrosse team scored early and often in a 26-0 victory over Keystone College, Wednesday afternoon at Mangelsdorf Field.
Chris Fleming scored a game-high six goals and also picked up two assists. Patrick Kellish found the back of the net four times and tallied an assist. Nick Torzilli scored his first four goals of his career and picked up his first-career assist. Matt Sippel, Phil Fraher, Mark Turkowski and Robert Wagner each had two goals.
The Cougars used three goalies in the game with Michael Golden making two saves and Matthew Beck adding another.
Fleming started the scoring by running down the right side before spinning to his left and firing a shot into the lower right hand corner of the net with 13:36 remaining in the first quarter.
The floodgates were opened after that as the Cougars scored nine more goals in the first quarter to take a 10-0 lead. Kellish scored all four of his goals in the first period and Patrick Luzzi got into the scoring column as well.
The Cougars continued to extend their lead in the second quarter, scoring eight more times including the first career goal for Dylan Walsh who fired a shot right past the right foot of the goalkeeper.
In the second half, it was more of the same for the Cougars, getting eight goals from six different people including the first two career goals for Turkowski.
