The Misericordia University women's lacrosse team raced out to a quick lead and never looked back in a 19-1 win at Wilkes, Wednesday afternoon.
Amy Roth had three goals and five assists and
Olivia Garcia had four goals and one assist.Â
Shae O'Leary had two goals and two assists and
Emily Connell scored three goals.
Meaghan Whalen had two goals.
Kaila Quinlivan added two assists, four draw controls and two groundballs and Bri Ladner added five groundballs, four draw controls and three caused turnovers.
Roth and Garcia both scored twice in the first 11 minutes as the Cougars took a 5-0 lead with 19:22 to go in the first half.
Connell scored three times in a five-minute span as MU stretched its lead to 9-0.
The Cougars added five goals over the last nine minutes of the first half to lead 14-0 at halftime.
Misericordia won its fourth straight game to improve to 8-6 overall and 4-0 in the MAC Freedom.
MU will host Manhattanville, Saturday at 6:00.
