The Misericordia University women's lacrosse team ended the regular season with a 16-8 loss at FDU-Florham, Saturday.
Olivia Garcia had two goals and one assist and
Amy Roth added a goal and two assists while
Lexee Willey scored twice.
Lauren Weitzel had seven draw controls, four caused turnovers and three ground balls. Bri Ladner had six caused turnovers and three draw controls.
Tori Hodges made nine saves in goal.
The Cougars fell behind 6-0 before scoring twice late in the first half.
Willey got MU on the board with 4:35 remaining in the first half and Garcia got the Cougars within 6-2 less than a minute later.
The Devils scored the next four goals to take a 10-2 lead early in the second half.
Roth and Quinlivan scored 90 seconds apart to cut the deficit to 10-4 with just under 20 minutes to play.
Connell and Garcia scored midway through the half and
Sarah Bender cut the margin to 10-7 with 9:02 to play, but FDU went on a 6-1 run over the final eight minutes.
Misericordia, 10-7 (6-1), will host King's in a MAC Freedom semifinal, Wednesday at 4:00.
