Box Score The Misericordia University baseball team ended the regular season with an 8-6 loss at Arcadia, Monday.
The Knights got a two-out, three-run, walk-off homer in the bottom of ninth for the come-from-behind win.
Kenny Jarema was 4-for-4 to lead the Cougars while
Sean Lyons had two hits and drove in two runs
Kyle Rogalski turned in a stellar performance on the mound with four innings of one-hit relief.
The Cougars took a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning. Jarema drew a lead-off walk and went to second on a wild pitch.Â
Parker Abate was hit by a pitch and both runners moved up on a fielder's choice.
Steve Weisensee's two-out walk loaded the bases and Lyons singled to left field to drive in two runs.
After Arcadia tied it in the bottom of the inning, the Cougars scored two more runs in the top of the second.
Sean Boylan reached via hit by pitch and advanced to third when
Adam Concadoro reached on a fielder's choice. Jarema walked to load the bases and Abate put MU in front with a fielder's choice. Holzapfel singled to center to make it 4-2.
Boylan doubled down the right field line with two outs in the third and scored when
Chad Bell reached on an error to give MU a 5-2 lead.
Arcadia got two runs back in their half of the fourth and tied it with a run in the bottom of the fifth.
Jarema led off the sixth with a double to left field and scored when
Santo Guinta reached on an error to put Misericordia back on top, 6-5.
The score held until the bottom of the ninth when the Knights rallied for the win.
Misericordia, 27-11, will open the MAC Freedom Championships against Wilkes, Friday at 7:30 at Owls Field in West Lawn.
