The Misericordia University men's soccer team opened its MAC Freedom schedule with a 3-2 win at DeSales, Saturday.
 
Jared Houser scored a pair of goals, including the game-winner in the 85^th minute, and Thomas Vacarro added a goal.
 
Tristan Wright and Ethan Aigeldinger both had assists.
 
Vacarro gave the Cougars the lead just 2:01 before intermission when he knocked home a centering pass from Wright.
 
Houser added an insurance goal off a cross from Aigeldinger at 64:55.
 
DeSales answered less than a minute later and pulled even at 76:01.
 
Houser's game-winner deflected off a pair of DeSales defenders to put MU in front for good at 84:21.
 
The Cougars had a 12-9 advantage in shots, including a 5-2 edge in shots on goal.
 
MU took three corners while allowing six.
 
Misericordia will visit Dickinson, Tuesday.
