The Misericordia University women's volleyball team captured the championship at the Cougar Clash with a pair of wins Saturday at the Anderson Center.
MU won its fourth straight game to improve to 6-2 with a 3-0 (25-12, 25-23, 25-17) win over Wilson and a 3-1 (25-13, 28-26, 22-25, 25-22) win over Moravian.
In the opener,
Mikayla Gunkle led the Cougars with seven kills and
Tara Welliver added six kills and three aces.
Karley May had 29 assists and five aces.
Against Moravian,
Jassmine Watson had 13 kills and nine digs and
Sarah Pool added 10 kills and nine digs.
Welliver had nine kills and May had 38 assists, four aces and eight digs.
MU, 6-2, will open its MAC Freedom schedule at Delaware Valley, Wednesday.
