The Misericordia University men's basketball team had its four-game winning streak snapped with a 75-67 loss at Eastern, Wednesday.
Jason Kenny scored a game-high 27 points and had a team-high seven rebounds and
Tony Harding added 16 points and eight rebounds.
Justin Iton had 13 points for the Cougars.
Misericordia never led and trailed by as many as 14 points early in the second half.
The Cougars scored 10 straight points in less than two minutes to get within three.
Down 50-37, Harding's layup and two free throws by Kenny started the spurt.
Kenny and Harding both added three pointers to cut the deficit to 50-47 with 13:28 to play
The Cougars remained within striking distance throughout the second half, but made just one of their last field goals.
Eastern grabbed a quick 10-2 lead less than five minutes into the game and took a 22-9 lead with 8:28 to go in the second half.
Kenny sandwiched a pair of three-pointers around a jumper in the lane to get MU within 30-28 with 4:34 left in the first half.
Eastern scored the final seven points of the half to a take a 37-30 lead at intermission.
Misericordia will host DeSales, Saturday at 2:00.
