The Misericordia University men's soccer team fell, 3-1, to Susquehanna, Wednesday night at Mangelsdorf Field.
 
Charles Gugel scored for the Cougars while Braiden Christie added an assist.
 
Christie sent a pass forward drawing the Riverhawks' goalie out of net and allowed Gugel to send a chip shot over his head inside the left post in the eighth minute to put the Cougars up early 1-0.
 
Following a header by Cody Rogers in the 17^th minute, Alexei King nearly added to the lead as he blasted a shot that sailed just over the crossbar.
 
Eric Goldberg had another good look with a little over three minutes left in the first half, but his header flew just over the goal.
 
Susquehanna pulled even midway through the first half and added a pair of second-half scores.
 
Misericordia will celebrate Senior Appreciation Day, Saturday at 1 p.m. against DeSales. ​
