The Misericordia University men's soccer team opened its MAC Freedom schedule with a 0-0 double-overtime draw with Stevens, Saturday evening at Mangelsdorf Field.
Dominic Pizzi made eight saves in goal for the Cougars.
Pizzi deflected two shots over the crossbar in the latter stages of the first half to preserve the scoreless tie.
The Cougars threatened in the 69th minute when Max Gariano's shot from the top left corner of the box went just wide of the right post.
Braiden Christie's blast from 30 yards out sailed just over the right post in the 78th minute.
Cody Rogers rip from inside the box was wide left in the 89th minute and he ended regulation with an attempt the was just wide right with 20 seconds to play.
Levi Roberts had MU's best chance in the first OT when he floated ball on a re-start from 45 yards out that was saved just under the crossbar.
He had a rip from 30 yards out sail just high early in the second OT .
MU is 3-4-3 and will host Dickinson, Wednesday.
