The Misericordia University men's basketball team earned its first win of the season, 83-73, over Mt. St. Mary in the consolation game of the Chuck Resler Tournament at Rochester, Saturday.

Patrick Douthit led the Cougars with a career-high 21 points, including five three-pointers, and four rebounds.

Noah Rivera scored 14 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for his first double-double of the season.

Tony Harding was named to the all-tournament name after narrowly missing a triple-double with eight points, nine rebounds and nine assists.

The Cougars trailed 35-31 at halftime, but scored 52 points in the second half to secure the win.

Douthit put the Cougars ahead early in the second half, 36-35, after he received a pass from Harding and hit a three pointer.

Down 41-37, two three pointers by Douthit and one from Kreitzer resulted in the Cougars retaking the lead 46-45.

The Cougars did not trail for the remainder of the game after taking a 50-48 lead with 12:12 to go in the half.

The Cougars (1-2) will play in an exhibition game at Division I Lehigh University, Monday at 7:00.
