The Misericordia University women's basketball team improved to 4-0 with a 68-60 win over Mount Saint Mary, Saturday afternoon at the Anderson Center.

Tessa Zamolyi tallied 13 points and 11 rebounds and
Erica Haefele and
Alyssa Bondi each added 12 points.
Gianna Delfino had 11 points and seven rebounds.

After falling behind 6-2 early in the first quarter, MU responded with 10 unanswered to jump out to a 12-6 lead.

Bondi drained a three-pointer after Delfino found her at the top of the key just two minutes into the first quarter and Delfino hit a jumper to put the Cougars in front for good, 7-6.

MU took control in the first half courtesy of a 15-5 run.

Morgan Haefele sent a pass to
Elizabeth Fasti who hit a jumper from the right side just under a minute and a half into the second quarter.

Fasti capped off the run nailing a three pointer in the corner off a pass from Delfino to push the lead to 38-21 at halftime.

Jordan Barth's putback gave the Cougars a 58-36 lead early in the fourth quarter and they maintained a double-digit lead until the final minute.

Misericordia will host Rutgers-Newark, Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Anderson Center. ​
