The Misericordia University field hockey team will open the 2019 MAC Freedom Tournament when the Cougars travel to FDU-Florham, Wednesday at 7:00.

MU is seeded fourth after finishing the regular season 9-10 with a 3-4 conference record. The Devils hold the one seed after a 6-1 record in conference play.

The Devils edged the Cougars, 3-2, during the regular season.

DeSales earned the two seed and Stevens will be the three to round out the four-team field and will play at DeSales on Wednesday at 6:00.

Misericordia is led by junior forward
Madisyn Granoski (4g, 5a) with 13 points. Senior forward
Kyleigh Knell (4g, 4a) added 12 points.

Tori Carsley contributed four goals each.

Katelyn Campbell started all 19 games for the Cougars in goal and had a 1.22 GAA and six shutouts.

For the Devils, Haleigh Flukey (24g, 2a) is the MAC Freedom's leading scorer with 50 points.

Maggie Sohns (6g, 15a) and Marissa Colvin (11g, 2a) help to anchor the offense for FDU.

Goalkeeper Megan March allowed 24 goals in 19 games which was good for a 1.21 GAA.
