The Misericordia men's basketball team defeated Neumann University on the road, 60-57 on Wednesday evening.

Nate Kreitzer led the Cougars with 21 points, six rebounds and four assists while
Tony Harding added 17 points and seven rebounds.

Jake Bartholomew had 11 points and
Noah Rivera contributed nine points and 15 rebounds.

Harding scored the Cougars' first 12 points of the game as MU opened a 12-5 lead in the first eight minutes. He had two jump shots in the first two minutes and followed with a pair of three -pointers early on in the first half.

After Neumann rallied to take a 16-12 lead, the Cougars capped an 8-0 run when Bartholomew hit a three point shot with 5:18 left in the first half. The Cougars connected on 12 shots from beyond the arc in the game, including six from Kreitzer.

The Cougars trailed 24-23 at the half the two teams went back and forth early in the second half. Kreitzer hit a three with 12:38 left to go and put the Cougars up, 41-37.

MU led the rest of the way to capture their second straight victory.

Bartholomew hit another three-pointer for a 56-53 lead with 3:28 to play and Harding's jumper in the lane gave MU a 59-55 lead with 1:44 remaining.

Kreitzer added a late free throw and Rivera's steal in the closing seconds sealed the win.

The Cougars will travel to Marywood on Saturday for a 3:00 matchup.
