The Misericordia University men's basketball team was eliminated from the postseason with a 76-60 loss at DeSales, Saturday.
Jason Kenny had 13 points to lead three Cougars in double figures.
Patrick Douthit added 12 points and
Tyerell Mann had 10 points and six rebounds.
MU fell behind 8-0 to open the game, but rallied to pull even, 14-14.
Douthit and Harding made back-to-back three-pointers and Kenny converted a three-point play off a fast break to the tie game with 13:43 left in the first half.
Mann gave MU its first lead, 17-16, with a three-pointer and Kenny added two jumpers for a 24-19 lead with 7:01 to go in the first half.
With DeSales up 30-26, Mann and
Sean Gorman scored layups and
Justin Iton put MU back in front with a free throw, 31-30.
The teams traded buckets in the opening minutes of the second and
Noah Rivera's layup gave the Cougars their last lead, 40-39, with 17:08 to go.
DeSales went on a 17-2 run over the next six minutes to take a 56-42 lead with 11:31 to play.
The Cougars cut the margin to nine points later in the half on two free throws from
Alec Rodway, but never got any closer.
Misericordia, 12-11, will host King's, Tuesday.
