The Misericordia University women's basketball team lost at DeSales, 66-45, in a battle between the top two teams in the MAC Freedom.
The Cougars fell to 19-4 overall and remained in second place in the conference at 8-4.
Kalynn Sefcik led MU with nine points while
Jordan Barth had a team-high 12 rebounds.
Paige Wampole added nine rebounds, two blocked shots and two steals.
Japriya Carroll and
Tessa Zamolyi hit back-to-back three-pointers to give the Cougars a 10-6 lead midway through the first quarter.
But, DeSales closed the period on a 13-2 run to take a 19-12 lead.
The Bulldogs opened the second quarter with another 13-2 spurt to increase their lead to 32-14 with 6:39 to go before halftime.
Misericordia will host King's, Tuesday.
