The Misericordia University women's lacrosse team used a 7-0 in the first half on the way to a 22-11 win at Frostburg, Saturday.

Kaila Quinlivan had four goals and four assists to lead the Cougars and Amy Roth and Lexee Willey scored four goals each.

Shae O'Leary added three goals and an assist and Kristen Ritter scored twice and assisted on another.

Amanda Rackliff scored twice for MU.

Emily Connell had four draw controls and three ground balls while Ritter added four draw controls and three ground balls.

Roth opened the scoring for the Cougars, but Frostburg scored twice in less than a minute to take a 2-1 lead.

Ritter tied it just 30 seconds later to start MU's string of seven straight goals over 16 minutes.

The teams traded goals over the final 6:15 of the first half and MU led 10-5 at halftime.

The Cougars scored six straight goals early in the second half to take an 18-6 lead.

After Frostburg scored five straight goals to get within 18-11, Willey and Quinlivan scored twice each over the final nine minutes.

Misericordia will open MAC Freedom play at DeSales, Wednesday.
