Box Score The Misericordia University baseball team edged Baldwin Wallace, 5-4, Wednesday afternoon in Port Charlotte, FL.

Steve Weisensee led the Cougars with four hits and Billy Kerwien, Austin Miles and Brady Madden all had two hits.

Dalton Emerich worked two innings in relief of Taylor Price to pick up his first win and Alejandro Santiago pitched the ninth inning to earn his first save.

Price struck out four and scattered eight hits over six innings.

Baldwin Wallace took a 1-0 lead in the third inning, but the Cougars rallied for three runs in the top of the sixth.

Tyler Holzapfel was hit by a pitch and eventually scored on Kerwien's two-out single to left.  Miles doubled down the left field line and Joe Liscio drew a pinch-hit walk.  Madden's pinch-hit single to right center plated two runs to give the Cougars a 3-1 lead.

BW rallied for a run the seventh and eighth innings to tie the score, 3-3.

Madden led off the ninth inning with a double and came home on Weisensee's bunt single to give MU a 4-3 lead.  Weisensee scored an insurance run on Holzapfel's fielder's choice.

The Yellow Jackets got a run back in the bottom of the ninth and had the potential tying run on base, but Santiago got a pop up and a foul out to end the game.
