The Misericordia University men's lacrosse team ended the regular season with a 10-8 win at Delaware Valley, Saturday.
Sean McSwiggan had two goals and two assists and
Nick Torzilli and
Brandon Winslow both had two goals and an assist.
Garrett Heidecker was 11-12 on face offs and added seven ground balls.
Patrick Luzzi had a goal, an assist and seven ground balls and
Paul Hanrahan added five ground balls.
Matt Beck made 13 saves in goal in the first half to earn the win.
The Aggies took a 1-0 lead, but the Cougars responded with seven straight goals over the final 10:07 of the first quarter.
Winslow, Torzilli and McSwiggan all had two goals and
Darian Brown added a goal during the spurt.
The Cougars led 8-3 at halftime, but the Aggies rallied with a 4-1 run in the third quarter to get within 9-7.
Ryan Vanderburg scored an insurance goal in the fourth quarter and the MU defense held the Aggies scoreless over the first 14 minutes of the fourth period to clinch the win.
The Cougars won their fifth straight game to finish the regular season 9-6 overall in the MAC Freedom.
MU will visit DeSales in the MAC Freedom semifinals, Wednesday.
