The DeSales University men's lacrosse team used an 8-0 run to overcome an early deficit to remain unbeaten with a 14-5 win over Misericordia University, Wednesday evening at Mangelsdorf Field.
Pat Luzzi led the Cougars with three goals and
Dom Campanale had three caused turnovers and three ground balls.
Luzzi had a team-high five ground balls.
Matt Beck made 17 saves in goal for the Cougars.
Robert Wagner gave the Cougars a 1-0 lead when he bounced a shot in from the right wing.
After DeSales tied it,
Sean McSwiggan found Luzzi from the behind the net for a goal from the left wing to put the Cougars back in front with 9:17 to go in the first quarter.
Nick Torzilli picked up a ground ball near midfield and streaked down the middle of the field and fired a shot inside the left post for a 3-1 lead with 8:29 to go in the opening stanza.
The Bulldogs answered with eight straight goals to take a 9-3 lead early in the third quarter.
MU will host Eastern, Saturday.
