The Misericordia University women's lacrosse team will open the NCAA Tournament against Endicott (MA) College, Saturday at York College.
The Misericordia/Endicott winner will face York in the second round, Sunday.
Misericordia, 14-5, is making its first NCAA Championships appearance after capturing its first MAC Freedom crown. The Cougars are on an 11-game win streak and have tied the school record for wins in a season.
Senior Bri Ladner, a four-time first-team All-MAC Freedom selection, was named MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Year.
She led the team with 72 draw controls, 43 ground balls and 23 caused turnovers and ranked sixth in the league with 4.5 draw controls per game and 11
th with 2.7 ground balls per game.
First-year goalie
Maggie McGovern was the MAC Freedom Rookie of the Year and was named MVP of the league championships.
She has tied the school record for single-season wins at 14-5 and owns the best goals against average in school history (8.32).
Junior
Nicole Winter also joins a defense that allows just 8.37 goals per game.

Kaila Quinlivan leads a balanced attack that averages 15.4 goals per game.
She was named first-team attack for the third straight season and has set school single-season scoring records with 99 points on a team-high 63 goals and a school-record tying 36 assists. She is MU's all-time leading scorer with 251 points.

Justine Johnson has 53 points (33g, 20a).Â
Kristen Ritter, a senior in her first season with the team, adds 36 points (26g, 7a).

Amanda Rackliff have all scored at least 14 goals.
Endicott is 14-5 after beating Roger Williams, 11-10 in overtime, to win the Commonwealth Coast Conference.
Jennifer Lacroix leads the Gulls in scoring with 67 points (53g, 14a) while four other players have scored at least 20 goals.
Bella Rino is 13-5 with an 8.63 GAA.
Lacroix was the CCC Offensive Player of the Year while Rino was the Defensive Player of the Year.
