The Misericordia University softball team will make its sixth consecutive postseason appearance when the Cougars open the 2019 MAC Freedom Softball Championships against Wilkes, Friday, May 3 at 12:00 p.m.

The second-seeded Cougars are 28-10 and finished 11-3 in league play.  The Colonels were 25-14 overall and 8-6 in the MAC Freedom.  The Cougars swept a doubleheader at Wilkes in the MAC Freedom opener for both teams in March.

Daily ticket prices for the event are $6 – adults, $5 – seniors, $3 – students.

Tournament Central

Top-seeded Manhattanville will face DeSales in the opening game, Friday at 10:00 a.m.

First-round winners will meet Friday at 2:00 with the losers to play an elimination game at 4:00.

The winner of the double-elimination event earns an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Misericordia was second in the league in batting at .331.

The Cougars led the league in fielding at .967 and were third with a 2.72 earned run average.
