MU Women Suffer First MAC Freedom Loss

The Misericordia University women's basketball team suffered its first MAC Freedom loss of the season, 75-46, Saturday at DeSales.
 
Jordan Barth had 13 points for the Cougars and Gianna Delfino had a team-high 11 rebounds.
 
The Cougars missed their first 10 shots from the field to fall into a 9-0 hole midway through the first half.
 
MU rallied and Erica Haefele hit a three-pointer to end the first quarter down, 15-9.
 
Delfino hit two free throws to get the Cougars within 17-15 with 5:53 remaining in the first half, but DeSales ended the period on a 16-4 run to take a 33-19 lead at halftime.
 
Misericordia will host King's, Wednesday at 8:00.
