The Misericordia University baseball team picked up its first win of the season, 1-0, at #11 Kean, Saturday afternoon.

Ian McCole threw a complete game three-hitter while striking out seven on just three hits and moved into a tie for second place in school history with his 20
th career win.

Billy Kerwein was 1-3 with a RBI and
Sean Lyons went 1-4 with a run scored.

Lyons opened the fifth inning with a single through the left side and advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt by
Brady Madden.

Kerwein followed with a single to center field to plate the game's only run.

After stranding a runner at second base in the first inning, McCole didn't allow a Kean runner to reach second the rest of the way.

MU (1-2) will play at Swarthmore College on Sunday at 12:00.
