The Misericordia University men's lacrosse team opened the season with a 25-7 win at Albright, Saturday.

Patrick Luzzi led the Cougars with four goals and four assists and
Conner Entwistle added three goals and four assists.

Nick Torzilli scored four goals and
Robert Wagner added two goals, two assists and five ground balls.

Allen Thomas and
Paul Hanrahan both had three goals and an assist and Hanrahan added five ground balls.

Garrett Heidecker was 16-23 in face-offs and had eight ground balls and
Spencer Sundeberg held Albright's top scoring threat without a goal.

Bryan DeGennaro made his first career start and recorded 10 saves in 34 shutout minutes.

Luzzi, Torzilli and
Kyle Vandenberg all scored twice as the Cougars raced out to a 10-0 lead after one quarter.

Luzzi scored twice more in the second period as the Cougars took a 15-0 lead at halftime.

Entwistle scored a pair of goals as MU stretched its lead to 21-0 late in the third period before Albright got on the board.

The Cougars will face Marywood in their home opener, Wednesday at 4:00.
