The Misericordia University baseball team defeated Otterbein College 7-6 in extra innings on Saturday in Port Charlotte, Florida.

Austin Miles, Brady Madden, Sean Boylan and Sean Lyons all had two hits. 

Lyons and Madden had two RBI each and Miles scored three runs. 

Boylan pitched 2.1 innings in relief to get the win.

The Cougars scored first after Miles doubled and Madden singled to score him two batters later in the first inning.

MU picked up two more runs in the third inning. 

Dalton Emerich and Miles singled and Emerich later scored on a fielder's choice while Miles scored on a wild pitch.

The Cardinals picked up two runs in the top half of fifth to make the score 3-2, but the Cougars answered in the bottom half.

Miles began the inning with a walk. Back to back doubles from Madden and Lyons gave the Cougars a 5-2 lead.

After the Cardinals tied the game in the top of the sixth, the Cougars took the lead back in the bottom of the half after Tyler Holzapfel walked and scored on Lyons' triple to left center field.

MU surrendered a run in the top of the eighth and the game was tied 6-6 until the bottom of the 10th inning.

Shane Hughes and Boylan walked before Santino Manganella hit a walk-off double to right center field giving the Cougars a 7-6 victory.

MU (2-3) will play a double header versus Mitchell College on Sunday beginning at 3:00.
