Box Score 2 The Misericordia University softball team used a walk-off win over Neumann to salvage a split at the Spring Games, Thursday in Clermont, FL.
Brianna Holder homered and
Maddie Holub drove in the winning run in the bottom of the seventh against Neumann.
Brooke Moyle struck out eight and scattered seven hits to improve to 3-0 on the mound.
Holder homered to lead off the bottom of the second to give the Cougars a 1-0 lead and Neumann tied it in the top of the fifth.
Holder started the game-winning rally with a walk to lead-off the seventh and pinch-runner
Taylor Baloga advanced to third when
Alexa McHugh reached on an error.
Kiersten Pflueger was intentionally walked to load the bases and Holub singled to left center field with two outs to win the game.
The Cougars dropped the opener to Milwaukee School of Engineering, 3-0.
Ciara DeLong and
Megan Murphy had the lone hits for Misericordia.
Bohn allowed six hits over six innings while absorbing the loss.
MSOE took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first and added two insurance runs in the second.
Misericordia is 6-2 and will conclude its spring trip against Elizabethtown and New England College, Friday.
