The Misericordia University baseball team and three team members have been recognized by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper.

The Cougars are ranked 30^th in the publication's pre-season Division III rankings while Tom Jacob, Shane Hughes and Brady Madden were identified as "Players to Watch" in 2021.

Misericordia has won nine consecutive MAC Freedom championships.

Jacob, a senior pitcher, was 7-4 with a 3.73 earned run average in 2019.  He was third in the MAC Freedom in wins and strikeouts (54).

Hughes, a senior outfielder, hit .396 with 10 doubles and 31 RBI in 2019.  He led the team with a .595 slugging percentage and had a .456 on-base percentage.

Madden, a junior infielder, hit .311 in 2019 and was second on the team with 39 RBI.
