The Misericordia University volleyball team improved to 10-10 overall and 3-2 in the MAC Freedom with a 3-0 victory over Arcadia in a key MAC Freedom contest, Tuesday on Doc Mould Court. MU took the three sets 25-19, 25-15, 25-19. 

 Fiona Pyfer recorded a game-high 13 kills and had two blocks and seven digs. 
 
Faith Merritt finished with eight kills, 12 digs and an ace. Lena Eldrenkamp had four blocks to add to her conference lead.  

Jessica Cleveland recorded a career-high 27 digs in the contest and the third-most in a three set MAC Freedom match this season.  

In the first set, Annika Massa served for an eight-point run for Misericordia, including two assists and an ace. Massa finished the night with 28 assists and two aces. 
 
After starting the second set down 8-7, the Cougars went on a 10-0 run behind Alexa Monro's serving and two Sophie Winter blocks.  MU ended the second set on a 3-0 run. 

Set number three was the tightest for Misericordia. The Cougars went up 9-3, but Arcadia battled back to within three near the end of the set. A Shelby Hastings kill and two more kills from Pyfer put the set and match away.  
 
Misericordia will host Marywood and Keuka for a tri-match, Saturday at 11:00 and 3:00.
