The Misericordia University women's volleyball team saw its four-match win streak snapped with a 3-0 non-conference loss at Montclair, Wednesday.

Faith Merritt led Misericordia with seven kills and
Fiona Pyfer had five.

Annika Massa had 16 assists and
Jessica Cleveland had eight digs.

Montclair scored 11 straight points to take a 16-4 lead in the first set and went to a 25-8 win.

The Red Hawks opened the second set on a 10-0 run on the way to a 25-12 victory.

The Cougars regrouped and led throughout the third set until Montclair closed with a 5-0 run to win 25-23.

Massa had two aces and
Shelby Hastings added two kills as part of a 7-0 run as the Cougars took an 8-3 lead in the finale.

After Montclair rallied to pull even,
Katie Kraeker's kill sparked a 3-0 run to put MU back in front, 11-8.

Jessica Oltman and Merritt had a block and a kills and Pyfer added a kill as the Cougars took a 23-20 lead.

The Cougars will return to MAC Freedom play at Delaware Valley, Wednesday.
