The Misericordia University men's basketball team fell at DeSales, 82-68, despite a career-high 27 points from Nick Hornung.
Hornung shot 12-19 from the floor and added nine rebounds as the Cougars wrapped up the first semester at 2-2 in the MAC Freedom.
Kevin Lazdowsky added 10 points and nine rebounds.
The 25th-ranked Bulldogs improved to 10-0 overall and 4-0 in the MAC Freedom.
After falling behind 16-6 in the opening five minutes, the Cougars rallied over the next six minutes.
Matthew Marchetti finished a fast break with a layup and Hornung put back his own miss to get within 23-16 with 10:46 to go in the first half.
Hornung made two free throws and Chris Robinson made a jumper in the lane to cut the deficit to 25-20 with 9:13 to go.
DeSales closed the half on a 25-10 run and maintained a double digit lead throughout the second half.
The Cougars will travel to Montclair, December 19.
