The Misericordia women's basketball team fell to 5-5 overall and 2-2 in conference play after a 58-34 loss at DeSales, Saturday afternoon.
Skylar Bianchi and Alyssa Bondi led the Cougars with eight points each. Bianchi added five rebounds and Bondi had three steals.
Gianna Delfino finished with a team-high nine rebounds and added three blocks and three steals.
The Cougars got 18 points off the bench and forced 20 turnovers.
The game started with Skylar Dowling drawing a charge and hitting a three on the following play for the first basket of the contest.
Bianchi hit a turnaround layup from Dowling and hit two free throws on their next offensive possession to put the Cougars within one.
Bondi hit a floater midway through the second quarter to pull the Cougars within 18-12
Bianchi grabbed an offensive board and tipped in the easy layup to keep MU within nine late in the second quarter.
Misericordia started the third quarter with a Bondi steal and a Delfino block on DeSales first two possessions.
Morgan Haefele hit a deep two in transition from an Elizabeth Fasti pass in the third period.
Bondi responded to a Bulldogs 3-pointer with a 3-pointer of her own near the end of the third quarter,
Dowling and Bondi hit 3-pointers on back-to-back drives early in the fourth quarter.
MU will return to action against Mary Washington at the Montclair State Tournament, December 29.
