Alyssa Bondi scored a game-high 25 points to lead the Misericordia University women's basketball team to a 65-52 win over Wilkes, Wednesday night on Doc Mould Court.
Skylar Dowling added 12 points as the Cougars improved to 5-4 overall and 2-1 in the MAC Freedom.
Gianna Delfino had eight points and a game-high 10 rebounds for MU.
After an 8-0 Wilkes run to take an 8-4 lead with 2:30 left in the first quarter, the Cougars closed the period with five straight points.
Dowling made a floater in the lane and converted the three-point play to get within 8-7 with less than a minute to go and Bondi drove from the left side and got a friendly roll to put the Cougars back in front.

Morgan Haefele with a cross court pass for a three-pointer from the right corner to open the second quarter and give the Cougars a 12-8 lead.
Bondi made a pair of free throws and drilled a three-pointer from in front of the Wilkes bench for a 23-13 lead with 4:36 left in the second period.
Delfino sank a short baseline jumper off an in-bonds pass and
Melina Santacroce added a free throw to give MU a 30-19 lead, but the Colonels made a three-pointer in the final minute to cut the lead to 30-22 heading to halftime.
Bondi opened the third quarter with a three-pointer from the left corner and then scored on a back-door cut with a nice pass from Fasti for a 35-22 lead with 7:38 to play.
The Cougars maintained a double digit lead throughout the period and Dowling drained a three-pointer from the right wing to close the quarter with a 50-34 lead.
Nora Tracey used a spin move in the lane for a lay-up to give the Cougars their biggest lead of the night, 52-34, with 8:35 to play.
Wilkes cut the deficit to 59-50 with 3:16 to go, but the Cougars made four free throws down the stretch and
Jordan Postiglione closed out the scoring with a lay-up in the final minute.
The Cougars will travel to DeSales, Saturday.
