The Misericordia University men's lacrosse team suffered its first loss of the season, 18-10, at #20 Stevens, Saturday.

Pat Luzzi led the Cougars with four goals and three assists and Nick Torzilli added two goals and an assist.

Robert Wagner had a goal, an assist, three ground balls and two caused turnovers.

Stevens took an early lead, but Wagner tied it with an unassisted goal midway through the first quarter.

After two Stevens goals, Luzzi scored a nifty man-up goal to get MU within 3-2 with 2:17 left in the opening period.

Torzilli added an unassisted goal less than a minute later to tie the score, 3-3.

Stevens answered quickly to take a 4-3 lead after one quarter.

Michael Killgallon opened the second period with a man-up goal and Allen Thomas gave MU its first lead, 5-4, with 12:44 to go.

Stevens closed the first half with four straight goals to take and 8-5 lead.

Ryan Vandenburg and Luzzi netted man-up goals early in the third quarter to get the Cougars to within 8-7, but Stevens responded with six straight goals to take a 14-7 lead.
