The Misericordia University women's basketball team won its second straight game, 57-45, Saturday at FDU-Florham.

Nora Tracey led the Cougars with 14 points and grabbed six rebounds and
Erica Haefele had seven points and led the team with six assists.

Melina Santacroce contributed eight points and five rebounds while
Meaghan McCaffrey chipped in eight points and seven rebounds.
Gianna Delfino collected eight rebounds and had two steals.

FDU-Florham jumped out to a 9-0 lead and held the Cougars scoreless for the first 6:30 of the game before a turn-around jumper from McCaffrey got the Cougars on the scoreboard.

Despite the early deficit, the Cougars battled back to tie the game, 16-16, on a Delfino layup at the 6:04 mark of the second quarter. MU proceeded to take the lead on a Delfino three-pointer, 21-18, with 4:25 left in the first half and led the rest of the way.

After falling behind early, the Cougars responded with a 28-13 run over the final 13:30 of the first half.

Tracey hit a baseline jump shot with 8:02 to secure her 14th point of the night, putting the Cougars up 50-29, which was the largest lead of the game.

The Devils finished the game on a 16-7 run over the final eight minutes, but the comeback effort wasn't enough, leading to the 12-point victory for the Cougars.

Misericordia improves to 3-3 and will host Wilkes, Thursday at 7:00 PM, at the Anderson Center.
