The Misericordia University men's lacrosse team lost at fourth-ranked York, 20-5, Friday.
Carson Venis led the Cougars with two goals and an assist while
Kyle Vandenberg,
David Giordano and
Patrick Luzzi all added goals.
Spencer Sundeberg had six ground balls and three caused turnovers and
Chris Straub made 11 saves in 33 minutes in goal for MU.
York opened the scoring at 9:48 of the first quarter and built a 5-0 lead after one period.
Luzzi scored MU's first goal in a man-up situation midway through the third quarter.
Vandenberg scored unassisted to close the third quarter and get the Cougars within 15-2.
Venis scored both of his goals in the fourth quarter and Giordano closed out the scoring for MU with 1:59 to play.
