Brianna Pizzano and Camryn Hubric have been named the Misericordia University Wendy's Female Athletes of the Month for April while Robert Wagner and Sean Boylan shared the men's honor.

Pizzano, a first-year tennis player out of Wyoming Area was 9-1 overall in five matches during the month.  She was 5-0 at first singles and 4-1 at first doubles while leading the Cougars to a 3-2 record and the number four seed in the MAC Freedom Championships.

Hubric, a junior swimmer, led the Cougars to a third place finish at the MAC Championships.  She was a MAC champion in the 50 freestyle and finished third in the 100 freestyle.

She added an eighth place finish in the 100 back.

In addition, she was part of the runner-up 200 free relay team and the third-place 400 free relay squad.

Wagner, a senior midfielder, led the men's lacrosse team to a 4-1 record during the month and the third seed in the MAC Freedom Championships.

He had 30 points (15g, 15a) and 21 ground balls.

Wagner opened the month with four goals, four assists and four ground balls against Lycoming and closed the month with seven goals, one assist and four ground balls in a win at DeSales to clinch third place.

Boylan, a senior shortstop, led the Cougars to a 17-3 record during the month and the top seed in the MAC Freedom Championships.

He hit .500 (32-64) with seven doubles, two homers and 28 RBI.  In addition, he had 47 total bases with a .543 on-base percentage while slugging .734.

He hit safely in 18 of 20 games with 10 multi-hit games and ended the month a 10-game hitting streak.
