The Misericordia University baseball team prepped for the NCAA Tournament with a doubleheader sweep of York in a battle of MAC champions, Saturday at Tambur Field.

The Cougars pounded out 19 hits to take the opener, 18-2, and rallied to win the nightcap, 7-5.

Sean Boylan had three hits, including two homers, and six RBI in the opener while
Shane Hughes,
Owen VanNewkirk and Miles Austin all had three hits.

Joe Liscio had two hits and three RBI.

Joe Valenti worked three scoreless innings to pick up the win.

In the nightcap,
Derrick Vosburg put the Cougars ahead with a two-run homer in the eighth inning and added an RBI-double.Â

Austin Miles added two hits and drove in two runs.

Matthew Lanzendorfer struck out three over 2.1 innings to earn his first win and
Tyler Leonard picked up his sixth save as the Cougars improved to 29-8.
