The Misericordia University rocket league team opened its 2021-22 NECC season with three wins, September 7.
 
The Cougars swept Valpo Gold, 3-0, before rallying to beat King University, 3-2.
 
The Cougars swept Concordia-Wisc., 3-0.
 
Against Valpo Gold, Nicholas Marrone, Austin Sienkiewicz and Joe Valenti led the Cougars to a 2-1 win in the opener.
 
MU won the second game, 4-0, and completed the sweep with a 2-1 win.
 
Against King, the Cougars trailed 2-0 before rallying for a 3-2 win.

The Cougars won 3-2, 3-1 to force a decisive game five where they fended off pressure and posted a 2-0 shutout win to complete the reverse sweep.
 
In the nightcap, the Cougars won 4-1, 6-3, 3-1.
 
MU will return to NECC action, September 14.
