The Misericordia University men's soccer team opened the season with a 2-1 overtime win at Susquehanna, Thursday night.
Alexei King scored the game-winner nearly five minutes into OT with an assist from
Trent Wall.
Drew Weaver added a goal for the Cougars.
Andrew Daubenspeck made three saves in goal to earn the win.
Susquehanna took a 1-0 early in the second half, but Weaver pulled the Cougars even with his first collegiate goal just seven minutes later at 58:25 off an assist from
Paul Schields.
King took the first shot of OT at 93:12, but it was wide left.
He notched the game-winner less than a minute later at 94:44.
The Cougars will host Ramapo, Saturday at 3:30.
