The Misericordia University women's basketball team won its fourth straight win, 66-49, Monday night at SUNY-Cobleskill.
Gianna Delfino had 13 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Cougars while
Melina Santacroce added 13 points.
The Cougars forced 31 turnovers and converted them into 40 points.
The teams traded baskets over the first 15 minutes until MU went ahead for good with a 9-2 run over the four minutes of the first half.
Santacroce put MU ahead with a layup and
Morgan Haefele added a free throw before
Nora Tracey scored back-to-back layups to give MU a 32-25 lead with 1:44 left in the first half.
Following a Cobleskill bucket, Delfino closed the first half scoring with a layup to Misericordia up 34-27.
Alyssa Bondi opened the second half with a three-pointer to stretch the lead to 37-27.
Rachel McDonald's jumper and a three-pointer by
Elizabeth Fasti capped a 7-0 run late in the third quarter as the Cougars took a 54-39 lead.
Misericordia will return to MAC Freedom action when they host King's, Wednesday.
