The Misericordia University volleyball women's team improved to 15-6 and 3-2 in conference play with a 3-0 win over Delaware Valley, Tuesday night on Doc Mould Court.

The Cougars wept the Aggies 25-13, 25-19, 25-17.

Fiona Pyfer finished with eight kills and two aces while
Meghan Peters recorded seven kills and
Adele Decker added three aces.

Jenna Schuda had a game-high 33 assists and nine digs along with four kills and an ace.

Pyfer and
Annika Massa powered a seven-point run early in the first set with three kills and two aces, respectively.

Shelby Hastings and
Faith Merritt delivered a massive block later in the set to put MU ahead, 16-7.

Sadie Stockslager extended the Cougar lead to 10 with a big swing late in the set. Misericordia ended the first with a 4-1 run.

MU kept the momentum going into the second set, scoring four of the first five points thanks to a Pyfer ace and a Hastings kill.

Peters contributed with a pair of kills on back-to-back plays to give the Cougars a 6-4 lead.

Schuda sparked an 8-0 run midway through the set to give the lead back to MU, and the Cougars never looked back.

Rachel LoFaso put the set away with a kill for the 25th point.

Kills from Peters and Winters as well as a Decker ace, pushed the Cougars to an early lead in the third set.

Decker provided another ace late in the set to push the MU lead to nine.

The Cougars hit .297 as a team in the match.

MU will hit the road for Elmira College, tomorrow at 7:00.
