The Misericordia University women's volleyball team split a tri-match with Mount Saint Mary and Lebanon Valley, Saturday at the Anderson Center.
The Cougars downed Mount Saint Mary, 3-1, in the opener and fell to LVC, 3-1, in the nightcap.
After dropping the opening set to the Knights, MU won three straight, 25-13, 25-11, 25-21.
Faith Merritt had a game-high 18 kills and five aces and added 10 digs.
Meghan Peters finished with 15 kills and
Jessica Cleveland tallied four aces.
Adele Decker recorded nine kills and three aces.
Delaney Boyd led the team with 13 digs and
Annika Massa had a game-high 40 assists.
Trailing 19-13 in the first set, MU scored four in a row behind three kills from Peters.
Peters sparked another four-point run late in the set with an ace, but the rally fell short.
Misericordia came out firing on all cylinders in the second set, jumping to an early 7-1 lead behind a pair of Merritt aces.

A big swing from
Sophie Winter pushed the Cougar lead to 13-4. And Decker provided a crucial Cougars kill for the 24th point.
Back-to-back aces from Merritt in the third set gave MU a 6-1 lead.
Madison Tullo and
Rachel LoFaso came up clutch with a block late in the set and Decker put the set away with an ace.
In the fourth set, MU again got out to an early lead with kills from Peters, Decker and a Cleveland ace.
The Cougars secured the match with a kill from Decker.
The lone win in the nightcap came with a 25-23 win in the second set.
Merritt and
Fiona Pyfer led the Cougars with 13 kills and Winter contributed eight.
Jenna Schuda had a team-high three aces and 36 assists.
Misericordia had an 8-3 run in the first set, thanks to a pair of kills and an ace from Schuda. The Cougars dropped the set, 29-27.
A back-and-forth second set came down to the wire, but ended with a Merritt kill for the 25th point.
Misericordia fell in the final two sets, 25-18, 25-15.
MU will return to conference action at King's, Wednesday at 7:00.
